At PHLI I was invested in spiritually and educationally which helped prepare me in a way that has helped me succeed here in the U.S. What I have experienced is that my ability to speak, listen and write in English improved a lot when I was at PHLI. This has helped me seek after my personal goals as well as God's plan for me in an incredible way.

Papua Hope has helped me in my spiritual life and my English efficiency. Learning English and getting the opportunity to study abroad is good but, something that is also important is to have strong faith in Christ. PHLI works hard to help each student study to the best of their ability by providing good study programs and skilled teachers to teach students. They also provide help for PHLI alumni in the USA and work to maintain student relationships.
PHLI helped to direct me to the place where God was calling me to go. It wasn't an easy task to figure out what God's calling on my life was, but Moody was the right path to take. To get to Moody, PHLI did a lot of work on my behalf. Things like sending in the required documents which helped me in the transfer process to Moody from Corban University.

PHLI is a place that teaches not only about academics but also about growing relationship with Christ. At first, I did not understand why there were lots of Christian-type activities while there was lots to learn in English. But when I came here to the US, I started to understand that these things I experienced at PHLI were actually the foundation for what has helped me as I have left my comfort zone. I am also thankful that PHLI has a great community that helps Papuan students to accomplish their dream to study abroad. I’m so thankful for the opportunity that I got to study at PHLI.
PHLI helped me to be fluent and confident in English because the teachers were very patient and sincere with us students. Not only that, the most important thing is that I learned more about and experienced more of Jesus through my family at PHLI (teachers, RAs, friends, staff). This in my opinion is one of the sweetest memories I have ever had.

PHLI helped me achieve my goal to study my intended major and assisted me through the transfer process. Academically, PHLI helped me be confident in speaking English, and Spiritually, I learned more about God. I had the opportunity to learn English skills and experience more of God through classes and activities.
In addition to English and Spiritual Formation classes, the dorms were cozy, and the food was delicious. The teachers, staff, and RA's were inspiring, caring, and served with sincerity making the Institute a comfortable place to learn English and grow in faith. Being a part of PHLI was a blessing.
